There is no hurt like Church Hurt. I talked with a brother today for about two hours. He was saying how church was a place full of theatrical events and that he would rather stay home and worship. The way that he was talking about the saints hurt me. But after getting to the bottom of things it was discovered that someone at his last church home caused him great pain and disappointment. I explained to him that there is no perfect church because there are no perfect people. The Late Pastor Ulysses Berkley once told me, a saint out of church is like a fish out of water. This tells me that a spiritual death is soon to come to those who do not have a healthy relationship with Christ or his people. I explained to him that he was walking in unforgiveness, and once he made up in his heart and mind to forgive, his views would change. We as Christians should never take each other for granted less we cause one another to stumble. If we stumble, allow the love of Christ to give us the strength to restore and not condemn.
